Dress Code Update
Jess Valley Bible Camp Dress Code Update:
Safety, Respect, and Modesty MUST prevail in dress at all times.
Please Review The Following:
Knee-length shorts may only be worn when going between the bunkhouses and the shower house or swimming time. Shorts may not be worn at any other time.
Clothing that is tight-fitting, revealing, or made with see-through fabrics shall not be allowed. Sleeveless shirts and dresses are allowed but must cover the shoulders(no string straps or tank tops). No low-cut necklines, bare midriffs, or crop tops. Clothing must cover the body even when running, jumping, or lifting hands over your head.
Capri pants or long pants are allowed. No pants with holes or tears above the knees are allowed. (Exceptions for a layer underneath holes in jeans may be considered.) Any leggings, tights, spandex, yoga pants, or pants made from any stretchy form-fitting fabrics are not allowed to be worn unless they are worn as an added layer underneath something modest.
Clothing with pictures or language that may be considered profane or offensive shall not be allowed. This includes any alcoholic beverage brand names or any products that don’t fit the standard of Philippians 4:8.
Camp Manager Luke Anderson will decide any specific questions about clothing. Any person wearing clothing deemed inappropriate will be asked to change into something that fits the dress code. There are many biting insects, thorns, and thick underbrush around the camp. This is the main reason for the no-shorts rule. We appreciate the support and cooperation from all who want to honor God with their clothing choices.
